The country has specialized in the production and assembly of vehicles and motorcycles to meet local and external demand, as well as a set of vehicle parts and pieces that allow it to respond to the needs of the assembly companies and the aftermarket sector. 

Colombia closed 2019 with a fleet of more than 15 million units, of which 41% were vehicles; and a total of 263,320 vehicles were sold (3% more than in 2018). 

Colombia has more than 8,100 companies registered in the activity of vehicle maintenance and repair and more than 13 thousand companies in the trade of auto parts and accessories for vehicles and in 2019 USD 328 million in auto parts were exported.
